I wish I could paint more often. I did this painting while on vacation in Michigan. Loved doing it.
Black Lion Wharf, London - 1859
There’s a lot going on in this etch by James McNeill Whistler: the houses, industry, river, boats - big and small -, merchants and a man in the foreground taking a break maybe. The artist did a wonderful job in capturing it all.

Make it personal
The Watercolor House offers also personal watercolors. In beautiful calligraphy script we can add your name and the location of your current or previous home. Those personalized watercolors are great anniversary gifts or for the kids when they get married. We can also make high quality prints for postcards, etc.
Homes that are not there yet!
I work with architects to create a watercolor of homes to be build. They give me the architectural elevation drawings and I take it from there. Those are fun and challenging projects. It will give the new owners a real impression of what their home will look like.
Another favorite
Again, this is one of my favorites. It's an old gorgeous Ladue, St. Louis home. The light hits the left side of the home and is leading your eye into the composition. I painted this for Janet McAfee Realtors in St. Louis. They gave it as gift to the sellers.
Wall Street 1831 - The Watercolor Bank
This watercolor depicts the United States Branch Bank on Wall Street in 1831. You wouldn’t think it looked like that when you see Wall Street today! It’s a beautiful painting.

I wish spring was here!
This painting by Anton Mauve show a Dutch scene. Farmers on their way home in the snow. It’s a beautiful painting, but I’m sure it was a cold day.

I love this painting!
I did this painting a few years ago and it’s still is one of my favorites. The light, the trees in the background, the yellow door and the overall layout of the house makes it an ideal house to paint.
